Stephen Powell - Finding Diana

The artistic enquiry was begun by Stephen in late 2014 but to an extent has become a lifelong concern. The origins for this project began with the premise, Finding Diana, which concerned itself in the search for an idealised phenomenon, exploring multifarious aspects of gender and various identities manifested within this. The further the project progressed, there was the realisation that nature itself holds a key because we all seek an idealised vision and to each individual it can bring many things.

The work that followed is based partly on observation and mainly on the celebration of an ideal, or perhaps a whimsical view of this.
